Course Description

A 2 day course aimed at both leisure and professional boat users. Covering advanced navigation, weather, passage planning and boat handling techniques for skippering powerboats day and night and on more challenging longer passages. Includes a confidence building night navigation session. The Advanced Powerboat course is the pinnacle of the National Powerboat Scheme. It is really aimed at the more experienced boater in both leisure and professional fields and users that want to undertake more adventurous, longer passages both day and night. There’s nothing more exhilarating than completing a well planned and longer passage especially in the dark. This course opens many doors in the marine industry as well. It’s the required standard for professional organisations such as the RNLI, Police, Military and others.
