Course Description

CEVNI is the code governing navigation on the interconnected European waterways. Just as vessels navigating the sea are compelled to abide by the COLREGS, all vessels including pleasure craft are expected to abide by the CEVNI rules when in European inland waterways. The CEVNI code does not apply in the UK. To pass the CEVNI test in order to comply with legislation regarding navigating European inland waterways. Although there is no specific learning course for the CEVNI, there are RYA publications available whereby a bit of home studying means a person can quickly become acquainted with the CEVNI code. The books are available in hard copy and as a downloadable eBook. Once your study is completed a short examination can be undertaken online. This training centre will sign you up for the online course.
